Sean holds a master’s degree in Homeland Security from Pennsylvania State University with a specialization in Cyber Threat Analysis. With over 6 years at HudsonTrident, he oversees the Automated Vessel Risk Assessment (AVRA) program, integrating threat intelligence into maritime risk assessments to help clients identify and mitigate both physical and digital vulnerabilities across more than 3,000 international ports and waterways.
Sean also leads Hudson’s research team, which collects, synthesizes and analyzes open-source and sensitive intelligence sources to produce actionable threat assessments and scenario-based risk models tailored to client operations. His work supports compliance with MTSA and ISPS Code security requirements, along with NIST cybersecurity standards, ensuring clients seeking to align best practices in port cybersecurity and critical infrastructure protection.
He regularly contributes to the development of incident response protocols, cyber-physical tabletop exercises, and resilience strategies across the maritime domain. Sean is a certified Facility Security Officer (FSO) and is an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP).
